Fuerteventura course not enjoy the same popularity as a tourist party, partying, etc.. other Islands Canary Islands and Gran Canaria and Tenerife, nor is it necessary, has its own characteristics, ideal for rest and practice water sports that make many people prefer to go year after year, the rest of other islands of the Canaries. It also says a lot going for it last May 26, 2009 was declared as a whole biosphere reserve by UNESCO.
As Wikipedia says, Fuerteventura is the second largest island of the archipelago, second only to Tenerife, and is the closest to the coast of Africa, located within 100 miles. Despite its arid climate, has an average annual temperature of 20.4 ยบ C.
Two features characterize the landscape of Fuerteventura: the sparse vegetation and abundance of beaches. Just these two features together, end up causing parts of the island, was quite windy, which means it is a paradise for some tourists, especially those who love water sports like surfing, windsurfing, sailing and derivatives, for whom Fuerteventura has the optimum conditions to practice them.
If you love diving, in addition to classes, the island offers several points for practiced, such as the beach scrub to the south or the area between Isla de Lobos and Corralejo, north of the island, Corralejo is carried place every year the International Festival of the Sea and Underwater Image, known by the name of Fimarsub Corralejo-Isla de Lobos. While on the island, the leisure and entertainment resources, especially at night, are much lower than in other islands, you're resting not miss them. Fuerteventura is an island dedicated to genuine peace and contact with nature than to the party. The villages of the island, there are, especially, Puerto del Rosario, are quiet places but full of flavor that give an extra attraction to the island as well as being places to eat, drink and mingle with the locals.
Now that you know it's a bit more, what matters is that you come and visit.
As always, and as if all the Canary Islands, the best way to know and be able to reach all points of the small island, but both are worthwhile, it is with a rental car, so if you're thinking about spending your next holiday on the island, and you intend to rent a car, either in Fuerteventura airport or in other locations, remember Reservasdecoches.com or at least compare our rates.
